Bio

My name is Bela, I am a Visual Artist, Rare Books Specialist, and Animation Researcher.

I was born in Moscow, raised in Israel, and currently reside in London. I hold a Bachelor of Design degree from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, and a Master of Arts degree from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London. I’ve also studied at the University of Westminster, Morley Colledge, and the Royal Drawing School.

Today my artistic practice revolves around portraiture, drawing, and printmaking, as well as illustration and character design. I teach drawing and sketching. Books are my passion (illustrated or not) and I also work as a rare books specialist in a central London antiquarian books dealership.
